About me
I am a socially engaged and accessibility-aware cultural producer/project manager specialising in national and international co-productions, dance, multimedia performance, new writing, theatre for young audiences, disability arts and socially engaged practice. I combine creative producing with strong organisational and project management skills, supported by PRINCE2 certification and extensive experience in cross-sector collaboration. I am particularly interested in developing projects that connect diverse communities with meaningful artistic experiences.
Based in Scotland, I work locally, across the UK and internationally with artists, festivals, venues and cultural organisations. I have coordinated projects ranging from small-scale R&D processes to international touring productions, large public engagement programmes and multi-partner festival events. I have extensive experience in touring, project and logistics management, funding applications and reporting, audience development, PR, stakeholder partnerships and evaluation across a wide range of independent and large-scale productions.
Alongside freelance producing for independent artists and companies, I have collaborated as producer, project manager or general manager with organisations including including Edinburgh International Magic Festival, Edinburgh Lyceum Theatre, Chronicle Theatre, Blueprint Arts and Cutting Edge Theatre.
I have also worked extensively in learning and development roles, designing outreach and engagement programmes for schools, young people and underserved communities. In addition, I have served on the jury of international playwriting competitions including the Mario Fratti Award and the Carlo Annoni Playwriting Prize.
Have we met before? Quite possibly. Over the years I have worked across numerous Fringe and year-round venues in Edinburgh, London and Toronto — and there’s also a chance I may once have been your drama or language teacher. Teaching and mentoring have always been an important part of my artistic journey. In 2016, I had the joy of meeting Michael Rosen, one of my favourite children’s writers, who reminded me to remain proud of my heritage and of the cultural and artistic wealth we carry wherever we go.
